Long face: The long face is longer than it is wide and has a long straight cheek line and sometimes a longish nose. To make the face appear shorter and more balanced, try frames that have a top-to-bottom depth, decorative or contrasting temples that add width to the face or a low bridge to shorten

Heart-shaped face: try slender, rounded or square styles, with lower set sides. Avoid styles which are wider at the top; these will reflect the face shape rather than balance it.

Colors such as black, brown, silver, golden, grey, and dark burgundy; may be the best way to go as far as eyewear is concerned. Bold colors and unusual shapes may not be the most appropriate.
