There is an old saying goes that eyes are the windows to the soul .So how to keep the windows’ glasses clean is an important question .Here we have a few methods to fellow, and a few tips to watch out. Rinse method and Dunk method are two of the most used ways
First of all we introduce two methods of cleaning eyeglasses.
Rinse method:
Step1: Rinse the lenses under warm running water; Wash them carefully with a mild soap. If necessary, use a wet cotton or soft cloth to clean. Use the same circular motion for wiping off soap as you rinse the glasses under warm water
.
Step2: Dry lenses with a lens cloth or nonabrasive cotton. Avoid using paper towels or camera lens paper. If they are truly clean, almost all the water will rinse off and you will only need to dry the frames
Step3: Purchase a professional lens-cleaning cloth and lens gel to remove fingerprints, dirt buildup and smudges

Step5: Wash the cleaning cloth weekly with a mild, nonabrasive soap. Avoid using fabric softener when drying the cloth.
Step6: Use a soft toothbrush to clean a slight build-up of grime on the nose pads, but be careful not to accidentally brush the lenses
Dunk Method
Step 1: Fill a sink with warm water and suds from a mild dish soap .
Step 2: Dunk the glasses in the sudsy water. Swish them around.
Step 3: Rinse the glasses under the tap. Let the running tap water wash off the washing up liquid. Rotate the glasses so the water can get to both sides of the lenses with the same strength.
Step 4: Place a damp cloth over one of the lenses. Fold the cloth so that it’s on both sides of the lens at once. Place your thumb over the half of the cloth that’s on the inside part of the lens and your index and middle finger over the half on the outside. Move your fingers/thumb from left to right like you’re asking somebody for money. Apply mild force to your fingers like you’re clicking them in slow motion. Repeat with the other lenses.
Step 5: Rinse the glasses again under the tap.
Step 6: Shake the glasses slightly to get excess water off. Before using the dry side of the cloth to dry. Make sure you dry the glasses with the cloth in a similar way to cleaning them with the damp side. Only this time move your fingers in an alternating circular motion instead of from side to side. Use another cotton bud to dry the bits that are hard to reach.
Step7: Put your glasses back on after inspecting for any more stubborn spots or bits of washing up liquid left behind. If there is still something left behind, repeat the process
Besides, we have some tips to watch out:
Purchase scratch-resistant lenses to avoid permanent marks that will impede vision.
Hair spray can damage lens coatings, too. Use it prior to wearing your glasses and keep glasses out of the way when it is in use.
Keep glasses in a case when not in use. Be sure that they are kept in a safe place, away from clumsy hands that might knock them to the ground.
Do not use the tail of your shirt to clean your lenses, if you can help it. Most clothing fabrics contain abrasive fibers that will scratch or smear the lenses.
When your glass case isn’t available, set eyeglasses upside down on the frame.
In a pinch, you can clean glass lenses with a drop or two of vinegar with a clean, soft cloth. Don’t use vinegar on plastic lenses.
Don’t allow perspiration to stay on your lenses. It can damage lens coatings.
Don’t use towels that have been cleaned with fabric softener to clean your eyeglasses. Fabric softener will leave residue on the lenses.
